Marcel Benoist Swiss Science Prize is awarded to Lars-Erik Cederman
Lars-Erik Cederman receives the Marcel Benoist prize for his work on political peace-building and the inclusion of ethnic minorities. Federal Councillor Johann N. Schneider-Ammann, Chairman of the Marcel Benoist Foundation, personally informed Professor Cederman about the award.

On September 3, 2018, Federal Councillor Johann Schneider-Ammann announced that Lars-Erik Cederman has been awarded this year’s external page Marcel Benoist Swiss Science Prize. Perceived as the most important science prize in Switzerland and sometimes called the "Swiss Nobel Prize", this is a wonderful recognition of Lars-Erik Cederman's scientific œuvre.
